A Trip on the Road

No. 7 and Co. will have to put their dream of becoming the NBA's first team to go 7-0 on the road away for another time.
After rattling off four straight wins on their current seven game roadie, the Lakers lost to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, 86-76.
Everyone on Los Angeles' roster seemed out of sync in the defeat, with No. 7 hitting every column on the stat sheet (nine points, nine rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks), but not enough to result in a win.
LAKERS LIKE NJ
Two nights earlier, the Package and Pau Gasol led the Lakers to a 103-95 victory over the New Jersey Nets. Lamar finished with 12 points and 11 boards, and was instrumental in keeping the Lake Show ahead after it gave up a substantial lead late in the game.
As written in the Orange County Register:
Coach Phil Jackson wasn't happy seeing another Lakers lead eroded by uninspired bench play — "This is a tale that's been told many times this season," he said — but starters Derek Fisher and Lamar Odom stepped up with timely contributions after New Jersey cut the Lakers' lead to three points.
NEXT UP
The Lakers (58-15) take on the Charlotte Bobcats (33-40) on Tuesday night; Los Angeles has lost five of its last six games against Charlotte.
